Planting and Nurturing Hope: A Community Effort at Toran Vatika and Pooja Row House
On the morning of May 10, 2026, dedicated Green Saarthis worked in two phases. One team gathered to help nurture the saplings at our nursery, GNGF Nursery, Toran Vatika. This enthusiastic group arrived bright and early at 6 am, ready to lend their hands in maintaining the young trees that are vital to our mission. These are saplings of native tree species in our region, which play a fundamental role in our plantation drives, allowing us to restore and enrich local ecosystems wherever we go.
Their maintenance is crucial—not just for the health of the saplings, but also for the success of our future planting initiatives. Each sapling nurtured today is a step toward greener landscapes tomorrow. The Green Saarthi volunteers worked tirelessly from 6 AM to 9 AM, engaging in various tasks that included watering, pruning, and ensuring the soil was adequately prepared for growth. We also built a shed in the nursery to protect our plants.
Their efforts not only contributed to the immediate needs of the nursery but also fostered a sense of community and environmental responsibility among participants. It was inspiring to witness these individuals come together for a shared purpose, all with the vision of planting trees that will benefit our environment for generations to come. Together, we are cultivating hope for a greener tomorrow.
Another team dedicated their efforts to planting approximately 20 native saplings at Pooja Row House in Adajan, contributing to the local ecosystem and enhancing the beauty of the surroundings. This took us around 20 minutes. We are indeed proud of the effort that we have put in. It was a small step towards promoting sustainability and environmental awareness within the community. Here is a glimpse of our task, showcasing the joy of giving back to nature.
