At Saras to ensure our plantations remain “saras”
On Sunday, 8 February 2026, a dedicated team of 23 ‘Green Saarthis’ embarked on a crucial maintenance drive at Saras Gaam. The primary objective of this mission was to nurture and care for the 2100 saplings we had planted approximately six months ago on 13 July 2025 in 800 sq.m.
This maintenance effort represents a crucial and integral step in upholding our mission and vision —our three-year commitment to the success and sustainability of our plantation drives.
The sight was disheartening; the weeds, some extremely wet patches of land, and dry at others. However, determined as we were, we rolled up our sleeves with doubled determination and plunged into the weeding process. The work was demanding, requiring us to meticulously clear the invasive plants, but with every weed pulled, we felt a step closer to restoring the patch to its intended glory.
The execution of this maintenance drive reinforces our belief that a plantation drive’s true success is measured not just by the number of saplings planted, but by the dedicated aftercare provided until they become self-sustaining. This collective effort at Saras Gaam is an example of our pledge to environmental stewardship.
