🌳 From Ghoda Gam to a Greener Future: A Day of Planting, Learning and Togetherness

On 30 August 2026, a group of Green Saarthis set out early in the morning, carpooling from Surat to reach Ghoda Gam, Bharuch, by 6:30 a.m. We were warmly welcomed by the Jinjala family, whose hospitality and positive energy immediately set the tone for a memorable day.

After sharing tea and breakfast, we got down to the day’s main purpose: planting trees. Around 301 saplings were planted on the Jinjala family’s farmland. As with our plantation activities, we began by carefully marking the area, followed by digging pits and planting the saplings. Adding a special spiritual touch to the morning, the saplings were planted while chanting shlokas and mantras.

Once the hard work was done, we enjoyed a delicious lunch before gathering for a celebration session. All 40 Green Saarthis sat together beneath the shade of chikoo and mango trees. The coolness beneath the mature trees was striking—a wonderful, tangible reminder of what our plantations can eventually create. We celebrated birthdays from the previous week as well as those coming up, making the gathering even more joyful.

We are deeply grateful to the Jinjala family for their exceptional hospitality. We also appreciate the generous donations contributed by fellow Green Saarthis toward supporting our organization’s work.

On our return journey, we visited Miyawaki farms, which offered an inspiring glimpse into what our own efforts could eventually become. The visit was also an enriching learning experience, particularly in identifying different tree species.

It was truly a fulfilling day—filled with trees, learning, laughter, wonderful hosts, and a meaningful contribution toward a greener planet. 🌱🌳
