Nurturing Saplings, Growing Together at Toran Vatika Nursery

On 6 September 2026, Toran Vatika, the Grow Native Green Forum (GNGF) Nursery, came alive early in the morning as around 40 Green Saarthis (Green Volunteers) gathered for a dedicated nursery care initiative.

From 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the team focused on an essential part of nurturing young saplings—weeding, organizing, and relocating plants. The work began by carefully clearing unwanted weeds from the nursery area. Once the space was cleaned, the saplings were arranged neatly and prepared for transfer to more suitable locations. Wherever possible, the volunteers relocated the saplings, helping create a more organized and manageable nursery environment.

Adding warmth to the morning, senior Green Saarthis—Shri Amarsinhbhai, Surendrabhai, and Muktaben—prepared and served hot tea along with delicious Indori Bataka Poha, giving everyone a welcome break during the service activity.

The morning was not simply about moving plants; it was about caring for the young trees that will shape our greener future. Heartfelt appreciation goes to every Green Saarthi who contributed their time, energy, and enthusiasm.

Together, through small acts of consistent care, we continue to nurture saplings—and a stronger connection with nature. 🌱💚
